Dear Parents,
I am using this letter to inform you of current activities, student work, evaluation sheets, behavior, and grooming. Let me begin by thanking all families for the outstanding recycled turkeys! The students carried in their masterpieces Monday swollen with pride. I plan to assign the next family project in January. We will celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday next Tuesday in the chapel from 11:30am-12:00pm. You will receive food assignments in the weekly packets. I hope you can participate and provide a food item and that you will join us for the meal.
The math concepts are becoming more difficult and will need more explanation at home. Please request to see all math assignments and if the grades go down, review the steps and work the problems again. Division and longer multiplication are the areas of concern. All students have math worksheets below for extra review. I feel I have found some help for the students which will arrive after the break.
Weekly evaluation sheets will be handed out only to those who have missing assignments or behavior problems. If you do not see a form, just know that your child had a perfect week. No evaluation forms will be written this week or the next week.
Please discuss following the set rules and when a teacher says, "Stop", these words are to be immediately respected and not challenged. I stress all the time that we are a family and need to love each other as such.
In the 3rd and 4th grades, the bodies are changing and more attention needs to be paid toward grooming. Please send your child to school in clean clothes. Make sure your child is bathed, fingernails are cleaned, teeth are brushed, and hair is washed. There are students who need to start wearing deodorant as the body odor is strong after P.E.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy your special gift!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Schraegle
